Summary
|
When
Gritch the Witch gets a taste for scrumptious Piggie Pie, she must gather the
needed ingredients. She has everything
she needs to make Piggie Pie with the exception of eight plump pigs. Gritch decides to fly over to Old
Macdonald’s Farm to find the needed pigs.
However, the pigs quickly devise a plan to disguise themselves as
various farm animals to prevent their demise.
Sensing her defeat, Gritch decides to give up on making her Piggie Pie
until she meets Wolf. Wolf advises her
to forget about the pigs and the two head off together while envisioning a tasty
lunch.

Description of how you would use book with
students
|
This
book would be great for a fractured fairytale unit. It could serve as a mentor text prior to
having students add their own creative flair to familiar fairtytales.
